Islam and the West
Taubira, a Guyanese radical leftist, who despite being appointed Justice Minister has no law degree, voted against the law banning hijabs in schools– one of only a handful of members of the National Assembly to do so. She did not cast a vote at all on the 2010 burqa ban, but this year she signed on to an MTE petition on behalf of “veiled mothers” which denounced the “endless series of offenses” against Muslims, a list which included the “anti-headscarf law” and “anti-niqab legislation.”…
Egypt, recent elections have produced a parliamentary majority comprising Wahhabi and Salafist elements dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood, which has proclaimed: “God is our objective, the Quran is our Constitution, the Prophet is our leader, jihad is the only way and death for the sake of God, the highest of our aspirations.”
The government showed us what it wanted to show, but you cannot manufacture normalcy in a city of five million. Moreover, the countryside and small towns popular with tourists such as Maaloula, Syednaya, Shahba and even the country’s biggest city, Aleppo, were peaceful and normal. But no such pictures appear on western television channels….
They say beware of what you wish for; your wishes might just come true. All those who cheered for Barack Hussain Obama must be ruing the day and kicking themselves. What a crushing disappointment! The much feted prophet of change has turned out to be just another regulation politician, only interested in perpetuating and protecting his own power and interests. Principles, ideals and convictions….
Mushir Hassan has been living in Brookfield for 12 years, with two daughters in Elm brook schools and two that aren't yet of school age. He has been active in the community as a volunteer and an internal medicine physician. But recently what has defined his presence in the community is his religion, Islam, and his hope to have a new mosque in his city.
Hassan is the secretary on the board of directors for the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, which is seeking to build the mosque at 16650 and 16730 W. Pheasant Dr., a short distance northeast of the intersection of Calhoun Road and North Avenue. He is also the project representative to the City of Brookfield.
As fears have surfaced from neighbors about religious extremism and ties to terrorism with the proposal, Hassan has taken on the role of an ambassador, meeting with communities of faith around Brookfield to explain basic concepts of Islam and field questions about the mosque's intentions. ....
The presidential election in France throws a cold, clear light not only French political reality, but on trends that are working their way through Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia. An identity crisis of unprecedented scope afflicts the West, a crisis that has called its status, its dominance, its values and even its sense of itself into question—and poisoned social debate in the bargain. France is adrift. For years, incumbent president Nicolas Sarkozy has flirted with populist themes ranging from immigration and security to secularism and Islam (headscarves, niqab, halal meat, prayers in the street, etc.) to pander to a portion of his electoral base, and to the far right of the political spectrum. A master manipulator, he exploits the emotions of fear, mistrust and rejection, and flirts with the demons of racism.
Fouad Belkacem alias Abu Imran, sentenced in 2002, 2004 and 2007 for burglary and resist to arrest, is the spokesman for Sharia4Belgium, a Belgian radical Muslim organization.
He expects Muslims to dominate Belgium and the world. His site sharia4belgium says: “Do not be discouraged and sad. Thou shalt keep the upper hand if ye believe.” As the population of Muslims is increasing in western countries like U.K., USA, Canada etc. the demand for applying Shariah law to Muslims is being voiced.
No wonder Islamophobia is on the rise……

Over the past days, I was following the headlines and articles of the Arab newspapers and magazines. To my utmost surprise, I found that they have been collectively pursuing a unified policy of vilifying and denigrating Iran over the Abu Musa dispute. In line with their politicians and statesmen, the Arab media have used the most odious and abhorrent language against Iran, as if they were talking about a sworn enemy with which they have been at odds for centuries….
The trouble with pessimism, I told him, was that it leads nowhere. Pessimism relieves you of any urge to do something. If things are going to get worse anyhow, why bother? Pessimism is a comfortable attitude. It even allows you to be contemptuous of the optimists, who still struggle for a better world. Optimism is for simpletons….
It is simply beyond my logic why people whine and create a lot of commotion over women wearing burqa, but is completely at ease with the so-called “forward” bikini-clad women. Society is okay even with celebrities posing nude for glam magazines but raise uproar over burqa-clad women. This couldn't get any more disgusting.
The recent wave of cold-blooded targeted killings of Shiites Muslims at multiple locations throughout Pakistan is almost too horrific to digest. More than 250 Shias have been brutally murdered in the last three months alone; a similar number of Shias are injured or permanently maimed....
The following ingredients should go a long way to produce a political thriller. Mr. M, a jihadist in an Asian state, has emerged as the mastermind of a terrorist attack in a neighboring country, which killed six Americans. Mr. M promptly appears at a press conference and says, “I am here. America should give that reward money to me.” Alarmingly, this is anything but fiction or a plot for an upcoming international sitcom. …
The German writer Gunter Grass (The Tin Drum) had already predicted the response to his poem in SdZ. There is no reason to be surprised, but there is every reason to be disgusted. Behind this thinking is the Zionist and Zionophile argument that the crime against the Jews of Europe was unique in the annals of history. This was true as far as the method of extermination was concerned, but not in any other way. …
There is a profound difference between “two-states” and “one-state.” The former contemplates two nations with citizens living side by side in peace under terms to be negotiated between leaders of the two principal parties. Other world leaders have almost universally acknowledged that strong help and influence of the United States will be necessary, and all the Arab nations have offered to support such an agreement. …
He muses: “Why do I only speak out now/Aged and with my last drop of ink:/Israel's nuclear power is endangering/Our already fragile world peace?” He supplies his own apocalyptic answer: it must be said because “tomorrow might be too late”. Mr. Grass also calls for “unhindered and permanent monitoring of Israel's nuclear facility and Iran's nuclear facility through an international entity”. Ultimately, he suggests, this would help everybody in this “delusional” region, including the Germans — or “us”, as he puts it. …
