ISIL Militants Killing Muslims in Iraq will Taste the Hellfire
    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

The ongoing war in Iraq should not be called Sunni vs. Shiites. Almost all the terrorists are fond of attaching their names with Islamic terms like Islam, Jihad, Sharia, Sunni, while they have nothing to do with Islamic teachings like peace, harmony, co-existence, brotherhood, integrity, unity and love. Why is it that they want such titles? Some say they are doing so to disrepute Islam, others say they are being brought up by extremist westerners who have hate and prejudice against Islam so as to degrade the value of Islam, while others say they want to seize Iraq and establish their self-styled caliphate system. Whatever the reason may be, I will say they have no relation with the Qur’an, Ahadith, and rightly guided caliphs.....

    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

“Love all and hate none. Mere talk of peace will avail you naught. Mere talk of Allah and religion will not take you far. Bring out all of the latent powers of your being, and reveal the full magnificence of your immortal self. Be surcharged with peace and joy, and scatter them wherever you are and wherever you go. Be a blazing fire of truth, and be a soothing balm of peace.  With your spiritual light, dispel the darkness of ignorance; and spread goodwill, peace, and harmony among the people. Never seek any help, charity, or favours from anybody except Allah. Never go to the courts of kings, but never refuse to bless and help the needy and the poor, the widow, and the orphan, if they come to your door. To serve the people is your mission. Carry it out dutifully and courageously, so that I, as your Pir-o-Murshid, may not be ashamed of any shortcomings on your part before Allah almighty and our holy predecessors in the Sufi order....

Jihadist Magazine ‘Azaan’ Calls For Western Muslims To Attack Their Own Homelands In Europe And America. Doesn’t This Violate All The Tenets Of Islam? Part II
    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

To force fit with the foul intentions of mass destruction, he quotes the following verse: “And Allah grants respite to none when his appointed time comes and Allah is all-aware of what you do.” [63:11] Quoting this verse out of context, the Jihadi ideologue is more tantamount to say that the fixed time of death has come to the Western Muslims and they should die at least after doing some amount of help for their petty purpose of life; enslaving non-Wahhabi Sufi Muslims and non-Muslims for their threshold. Surely this is not to be true as long as the moderate mainstream Muslims are alive. They, and even a man of slightest intelligence, can easily perceive the huge juxtaposition between the Qur’anic verse and the opinion of Abu Salamah Al-Muhajir….

‘Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil’: A Comparative Study with ‘Freedom of Choice’ For Doing Good and Evil Rejects Every Notion of Coercion
    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

...the radical attempts of enjoining the good or forbidding the evil can never be legitimised in Islam. Similarly, all the killings of innocent lives, ethnic and sectarian violence sweeping across the world that are being done in the name of uprooting evil are forbidden (Haram) in Islam. After an in-depth study of the Qur’anic verses mentioned above, it is clear that enjoining good and forbidding evil is legitimate only without force, without any kind of injustice and without any violence.....

Jihadist Magazine Azaan’s Call for Western Muslims to Attack Their Own Homelands in Europe and America Violates All Tenets of Islam - Part -1
    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

The write-ups in this magazine would make the impressionable Muslim youth feel as if they were born either to kill or be killed and that there is no better purpose to their life, if they are true Muslims. Thus it is detrimental to their faith as it gives legitimacy to killing all the infidels including non-combatant civilians. It is important to remember that the Jihadi-Wahhabi definition of infidel includes even non-Wahhabi Muslims whose able-bodied men have to be killed, old men and children enslaved and women turned into concubines to the Jihadis....

Mawlid al-Nabi that the Qura’n tells is bounty, mercy, favour, and grace of God and legitimate to be celebrated for its deserving reward
    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

Though the practice celebrated by God Almighty and the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) has been an apple of discord among Muslims in the last few decades, the mainstream Muslim intellectuals, Jurists (Fuqaha) and scholars over time have come to celebrate it as part of the mental and emotional furniture of Muslim community. The birthday commemoration of the prophet, particularly among the Sufi orders worldwide, is not a departure from the mainstream but a living testimony that the contemporary Muslims are still faithful to the Qur'anic injunction:

“Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace”. [33: 56]

Reconciliation: A Qur'anic Message to Extremist Muslim Ideologues to Stop Provoking Wars and A Way to Restore Peace and Harmony
    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

"Indeed the Believers are but brothers. Therefore reconcile the differences between your brothers, and fear Allah so that you may receive mercy." [Al-Qur'an 49:10]

"When two parties of the Believers fight each other, then make reconciliation between them." [Al-Qur'an 49:9]

“Most of their discussions do not contain any good, except of the one who enjoins charity or goodness or peace-making among people; whoever does that to seek the pleasure of Allah – We shall soon give him a great reward” (Surah Nisa: 114).....

    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

Enjoining people to do good and forbidding them from evil (Amr bil Maaroof, Nahi anil Munkir) is a doctrine mentioned in the Quran a few times. Wahhabism associates it with use of force, coercion and violence in society. The words ‘Amr’ and ‘Nahi’ have a variety of meanings but they are beyond every notion of aggression. .... In recent times, this doctrine has been misused to provide the pretext for allowing violence being inflicted on innocents in the name of establishing Islamic law (Sharia). The perpetrators of such crimes, the extremist Talibani-Wahhabi ideologues who the following exegetic analysis refers to, are themselves the evil doers who should be forbidden from their evil practices....

    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

Wahhabi ideologues repeatedly call those who believe in this prophetic virtue as Kafir. They have spread the misleading interpretations of the Quran on the subject among Muslims.  Consequently this has caused a serious schism in the community and it has turned into a major cause of conflict between two sections of the Muslims. Therefore, there is a need to sincerely resolve this important issue related to the prophet’s knowledge of the unseen according to the Quran and Hadith.  ...

The Prophet Muhammad (saw), A Great Humanitarian
    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam

George Bernard Shaw insists that “if a man like Muhammad were to assume dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness.”[The Genuine Islam] Similarly, a great historian, Lamartine argues that “as regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he?”[Histoire de la Turquie] According to Michael H Hart, he leads the list of the Most Influential Persons in History’ (The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History’)

Role of Prophets in Eradicating Violence

Humankind on the whole is engaged in war.  At one count or another. What motivates the people who are waging this war and how can it come to an end? Is there any possibility of bringing all humanity together and end this war? The answer is, yes, indeed. To end war humanity will need to resolve root issues like injustice, exploitation of the weak and all sorts of supremacism that the mankind is suffering from and, in my view; Islam has the panacea for all these maladies....

    Pluralistic Dimensions Of Islamic Ideologies
    Ghulam Ghaus, New Age Islam
The reality is that Islam gave absolute respect and prestige to non-Muslims. Despite that if someone opposes to it in the opinion and belief, Muslims must have patience with the saying of Allah “for you your religion and for me my religion” ( Kafiroon 6). Also Allah says “To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way, if God had so willed, he would have made you a single people, but (his plan is) to test you in what he hath given you” (Maidah 48).

Why have Fatwas against Islamist Terrorism failed as A Counter-Terrorism Tool, Explains Sultan Shahin in a Conference in Birmingham, And Suggests the Kind of Fatwa Required

Numerous fatwas (edicts) have been issued by ulema (Islamic scholars) across the globe, particularly since 9/11 in a bid to stem the tide of Islamist terrorism. Tens of thousands of ulema have endorsed these fatwas issued by influential institutions of Islamic learning of all sects in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh as well as other parts of the world. When issued, these fatwas inspired great expectations. As perceptive and insightful an observer as Mr. Ziauddin Sardar proclaimed “the beginning of the end of the war of terror” when a hundred thousand Deobandi ulema endorsed a fatwa issued by the hundred-year-old Islamic madrasa in Deoband, India, “unequivocally denouncing terrorism,” in June 2008. Similarly, Sufism-oriented Barailwis, hard-line Salafis, Ahl-e-Hadeesis, have all denounced Islamist terrorism in their separate or joint statements. But terrorist ideology continues to attract our youth, particularly in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. What used to be merely a Pakistan-sponsored secessionist struggle is showing signs of tuning into an Islamist struggle for the establishment of Islamic Sharia through a universal Caliphate, very much redolent of the objectives of the so-called Islamic State or ISIS.  Popularizing the slogan of “Shariatya Shahadat,” a militant leader Zakir Musa, Burhan Wani’s successor, even threatened to kill Hurriyat leaders for calling Kashmir’s separatist movement political and not religious. Calling them “hypocrites, infidels, followers of evil”, the militant had warned to chop off their heads to be hanged in Lal Chowk in Srinagar, “if they create hurdles in the path of making Kashmir an Islamic State”....
