Islamic Ideology (28 Aug 2018 NewAgeIslam.Com)

  • Nawaz saheb,
You have a perfect right to be literalistic if that is your preference, but only God will decide whether I have shifted from basic Quranic principles.

  •  Dear Mr. Mohyiuddin
Thank you for your response. Your comment sounds like a profane statement.
Final Day of Judgment,Reward and Punishment for worldly performance, Divine Mercy and Forgiveness-all these are Divine Instruments of Universal Governance and "Righteousness" is the part and parcel of Faith of a Muslim. There is no Sciope  for understanding otherwise. But Your statement " we do right "Because it is Right" is a Wild Statement signalling a clear shift from Basic Quranic Principles.

  • Dear Naseer Saheb,
I am very Sorry. Please Excuse me for my limitation

  • There should be only one motivation for doing what is right and that is: "Because it is right". Promise of rewards in the after life was a good inducement for people at a certain stage of development. Like training wheels on a bicycle they do not need to be a permanent fixture.

O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness,- that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition! (7:26)

Raiment of (TAQWA) righteousness! What a beautiful way of putting across that righteousness will protect us from shame and also be our adornment on the Day of Judgment! The context of wearing modest clothes has been used to drive home a much higher truth!

  • Nawaz sb, my response is to the comment and not the article.
    The article is good.

  • Dear Naseer Saheb,
Thank you for your comment. Please tell me if  you yourself are  in doubt about the Call.

By Kazi Wadud Nawaz - 8/29/2018 4:25:43 AM

  • Oh really? And why do you think people will heed to such a call when apparently it pays not to?
    By Naseer Ahmed - 8/29/2018 1:39:40 AM

  • Emphasis on righteousness is the essence of Islam. An uncomplicated, unadorned and non-mystical bidding to "do the right thing," should be our clarion call.
